Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Tyga talk about getting into the studio together and working, the meaning behind the song "Loyal."
Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Tyga are slated to hit the touring circuit together
for the "Between the Sheets" tour at the top of next year. Beginning on
January 28, 2015 the trio will land in Hampton, Virginia and trade off
their numerous hits on stage.
Recently sitting down with Complex, Chris, Trey and Tyga talked about working together and what to expect on tour.
"I was friends with Chris but I never had been in the studio with him
so I didn't know what to expect," Tyga said in regards to working with Chris Brown.
"He records fast so I was trying to write my verses fast [to] keep up
with him. When we look back it's like, 'Damn, this is a dope project.'"
Brown made it a point to explain the meaning behind "Loyal," a song he released with Tyga (and Lil Wayne). He says both females and males can be hoes, thus making the song relatable to everyone.
"When you say, 'These hoes ain't loyal' it's a different depiction
like it's not actually saying females in general," he said. "[A] guy can
be a hoe too. So I think it resonates with the female audience as
well."
The "Between the Sheets" tour is comprised of 25 stops from January 28 - March 8. Presale
tickets for the tour will be available beginning on November 13 while
regular tickets will go on sale beginning on November 15 for select
cities.
