Yeezus is repenting. Kanye West has issued a public apology to Beck following his infamous Grammy incident.
‘Ye nearly crashed
Beck’s acceptance speech after the musician won Album of the Year over
BeyoncĂ©. “Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his
award to BeyoncĂ©,” he told “E! News” in a post-show interview.
But apparently ‘Ye has had a change of heart and regrets his
comments. “I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck,”
he tweeted on Thursday.
During his interview with “The Breakfast Club” earlier this month, he also admitted that he had not heard Beck’s album Morning Phase until after the Grammys.
“I was completely hypocritical,” said ‘Ye. “I went to dinner and sat
down with Taylor Swift, and ironically, they were playing the Beck
album. I was listening like, ‘Man, this is kinda good. I ain’t even
gonna lie.'”
In addition to apologizing to Beck, Kanye also said sorry to Bruno
Mars. “I used to hate on him but I really respect what he does as an
artist,” said ‘Ye, who previously collaborated with the “Uptown Funk”
singer on “Lift Off” for Watch the Throne.
He even asked that Bruno sing the hook on a new song of his
co-produced by 88-Keys and Puff Daddy, and invited Odd Future frontman
Tyler, the Creator to direct the video. Tyler has had his own beef with Bruno in the past.
I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck.
